1a: By giving us your shipment you are deemed to have accepted our terms and conditions of carriage.
1b: No claims for consequential loss howsoever caused will be accepted. We will not be liable for any loss of income, profit, markets, reputation, customers, loss of use, opportunity or any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages or loss howsoever arising, including but not limited to the loss, damage, delay miss delivery or non-delivery of your shipment even if we have knowledge that such damage or loss may arise.
1c: It is assumed that the shipment was received and delivered in good condition, unless the receiver has noted any damage to the packaging on our delivery record when he or she has accepted the delivery. In these circumstances no claim for damage howsoever caused will be met.
1d: For Next Day deliveries normally but not always we use FEDEX for the UK. Unless extra cover has been requested up to the time of our collection our liability for loss or damage to goods in transit is limited, to £10 per kilo with a maximum of £100 per claim minus £25-00 excess, or the lower cost of goods at cost price. Enhanced transit liability insurance is available at the time of despatch at £12 per £1000 covered for goods new & unused and under 12 months old. No liability is accepted for the loss or breakages of: Glass, China, Liquids, Laptop computers, LCD & Plasma TV’s or where the goods have suffered from insufficient or improper packaging. Any claims for damaged goods can only be made if the delivery note is marked damaged at the time of delivery.
1e: To claim you must notify us about loss within 30 days of delivery or scheduled delivery and damage within 24 hours of delivery. If we send you a claim form this must be fully completed and returned to us within 21 days together with any relevant supporting documentation and copy invoices. We are not obliged to act on any claim until our carriage charges have been paid, nor are you entitled to deduct the amount of your claim or carriage charges from any payments due to us. We may require proof of the value of the whole of the consignment or any part thereof lost, mis-delivered or damaged.
1f: For Next Day services claims for late delivery can only be made if a correct relevant contact telephone number has been given for the consignee at the time of dispatch. Maximum claim for late delivery is limited to 50% of the initial consignment fee.
1g: Same Day services are based on best endeavours, meaning we are not liable for late delivery due to circumstances outside of our control such as traffic or weather conditions. However our assurance is that a Same Day consignment whilst in our custody and control will receive 100% priority handling with direct end to end attention, direct drive with no in house delays or deviations. The Same Day and Standby services Goods in transit insurance is limited to a maximum of £10,000 per load.
1h: Copies of proof of delivery are available up to 3 months following date of delivery.
1i: All invoices (unless otherwise stated) are subject to settlement on the 30th of the month following the date of invoice. Where payment is not received by that date we reserve the right to impose a surcharge of 2.5% per month or £10-00 whichever is greater.
1J: In most areas but not all, we will respond to a call for collection up to 15-00hrs on the day of despatch, please contact us for confirmation that your area is covered. A completed dispatch sheet must be available for the driver to sign and take away at the time of collection, destination telephone numbers must be provided for all consignments.
